What iLearnforum Provides
iLearnforum organizes learning by subject area and module. Its Southeast Asia offerings cover four main areas:
- Southeast Asian Studies explores the region’s history, culture, society, politics, economics, and regional relations.
- SoutheastAsia Explore blends online learning with in-country experience to deepen understanding of the region’s history, culture, and contemporary issues.
- Reading Southeast Asia introduces important books and highlights their contributions to the field.
- Southeast Asian Languages and Literature examines linguistic foundations, sociolinguistics, and literary traditions.
The platform also offers three management-focused areas, using case studies from Southeast Asia and the wider Asian region:
- Governance examines public administration reform, decentralization, access to justice, anti-corruption, political participation, and governance assessment.
- Capacity Development strengthens practical skills in policy analysis, planning, monitoring and evaluation, approaches to corruption prevention, business integrity, public integrity, and governance assessment.
- Sustainable Development covers inclusive growth, social protection, SMEs and sustainable development, just energy transition, and legal aid.
Learning is delivered mainly through flexible, practical, and engaging modular courses:
- Each module is a focused, stand-alone unit on a specific topic.
- Most modules run for 6 to 12 weeks, offer 7.5 to 30 hours of content, and are available quarterly. Short, mostly one-session modules are free.
- Materials may include written lectures, AI-generated audio or video readings, live or recorded Zoom sessions, slides, and assigned readings.
- Participants learn through readings, discussions, and assignments.
- Learners who earn more than 80% receive a certificate of completion.
Modules can be combined into personalized learning pathways. As a fully online platform, iLearnforum offers accessible, flexible, and cost-effective learning. By completing a module, learners expand their knowledge, sharpen their analytical skills, and build confidence in discussing current real-world issues in an informed way.
